Limited Government, Conservative Principles

19 Dec 09:  Given all that has happened in Washington since President Obama came into office, it is quite apparent that he thinks that it is the government’s job to do things for the people – to get involved in seemingly every aspect of our lives.  It is also apparent that many legislators have similar beliefs.  I reject this view.

The Constitution provides for a limited federal government.  Citizens of this great country should be allowed to go about their lives without government intrusion.  I believe that many in Washington, including Republicans, have moved away from conservative principles.  I support the Tea Parties and 912 Patriots, and similar movements.  In Washington, I will work to move the Republican Party back to its conservative roots and align it with these grassroots movements.
