17 Dec 09: I hear that Senator Schumer disrespected a flight attendant who was merely doing her job. She told him that he had to turn his cell phone off before the plane could depart. He resisted doing this – after all, he is a United States Senator! Ordinary rules do not apply to such an elevated being! When he had to comply, he called her a name under his breath (rhymes with “witch” and starts with a “b”). This may seem like a trivial event, but it is symbolic of a serious problem. Washington has forgotten that they work for “We, the People.” We are their bosses. They want to tell us what to do, rather than having us tell them what to do.
As your Congressman, I will not forget that I work for you!
